What is Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy ?

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a psycho-social intervention that aims to improve mental health. CBT focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions (e.g. thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes) and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.

Originally, cognitive-behavioral therapy was designed to treat depression, but its use has been expanded to include treatment of a number of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders.

My cognitive behaviour therapy sessions take place at at Mountsorrel Memorial Centre (MMC)  which is located at 105 Leicester Road Mountsorrel LE12 7DB.

The MMC has a large car park. It is a newly built building in the heart of Mountsorrel. There is a quiet, waiting area, toilets and a café. The light and comfortable therapy room is on the first floor, accessed by stairs or a lift. Once you arrive at the MMC, please take a seat on one of the sofas downstairs and I will come down and greet you at your appointment time.
