What is Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy ?

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a psycho-social intervention that aims to improve mental health. CBT focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions (e.g. thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes) and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.

Originally, cognitive-behavioral therapy was designed to treat depression, but its use has been expanded to include treatment of a number of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders.

Appointments are held at Liberty Hall, 71 Maplewell Road, Woodhouse Eaves, LE12 8RG.  No. 71 is located on the left-hand side as you come up Maplewell Road, just before Victoria Road.

Liberty Hall is a peaceful building used by a hairdresser, a beauty therapist and me. My room is tucked away on the first floor, accessed by a side walkway and door to the rear of the building. There is a comfortable waiting area and toilet.

Although the building does not have a car park, there is on road parking to be found close by and a village car park about 5 minutes walk away.
